About Jonathan

Jonathan’s love for photography began when he was 17, learning on a borrowed Canon AE-1.  His passion for storytelling with the frame quickly grew as journalism assignments and documentary projects took him across the country, documenting a vanishing way of life in the hills of Kentucky, wildfires in the mountains of California, winter horse stables in New York, and the adventurous world of killer bee removal in the deserts and canyons of Arizona.  A regular contributor to Newsday, Jonathan created Love Captures Photography as a gathering point for his wedding photojournalism.  Unobtrusive and unstaged, Jonathan lets the day unfold before him, documenting the joy and happiness as it happens.  A member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association, Jonathan is committed to reportage-style coverage that reveals the thoughtfulness and detail that each bride puts into her day.
